Social Security Watch – according to the latest report of its Board of Trustees, Social Security trust funds will remain solvent until 2037 (2020 for disability benefits). In 2037, Social Security payroll-tax revenues will be sufficient to pay only about three-fourths of the expected benefit obligations. Social Security’s administrative costs are about 0.6% of Social Security’s total expenditures.
